Comment on Pabst Blue Ribbon by Luke

I must admit, I think I disagree. Pabst, in my opinion, has a nice light malt flavor, a little bit of a toasted rice and very mild hop aroma, and at worst a neutral mouthfeel.
For Pabst haters, my personal recommendation is to drink a Keystone light on a hot day (hate it, because it’s shit), and take a short breather. Then pop the top of an ice cold Pabst, and you will appreciate it more for what it is. An inexpensive lager with less sickly sweetness than something like a Budweiser, and much more malt flavor than you might expect if you go into it anticipating a get-drunk-beer.
I’ve been out of college for a bit, and I can afford to buy the microbrews I like, but when I come home on a hot day, there is little more refreshing than a Pabst on the back porch. I’ll save my IPA’s for entertaining.
